Christmas Charities Year Round is a 74 year old nonprofit that services Madison County, Alabama. They approached me in 2019 for a new brand identity to better suit the ways they were serving the community all year and to take the emphasis off of “Christmas” by using the initials CCYR.
The logo they decided on has a modern-vintage feel to it, through the use of simple icons, a sans serif font, and a vintage Christmas-esque color palette of coral, sky blue, and shades of forest green.
The main present icon is a reference to Christmas without being overtly so. Additional icons were created to represent the various services that CCYR provides. including their mobile closet for children, medical equipment loan program, and Operation Believe that provides toys and gifts to families and seniors during the holiday season.
